he restaurant was
formerly a workmen's cafe when we first opened in 1984. We decided to convert to an "up-market" restaurant in 1988,
and this was when La Scarpina was born, however after a 7 year era we decided to convert again to a Pizzeria
Restaurant which we called "Giorgio's".
What we aim to do was to try and keep some of the dishes from La Scarpina but also introduce a vast selection
of true Italian Pizza's and more of a selection of traditional Pasta dishes as well. These included the traditional Pasta
dishes of Spaghetti, Tagliatelle and Penne, with a variety of sauces. Also a selection of Chicken, Veal, Steak and Fish Dishes.

owever we did not want to be like any other
typical Pizzeria Restaurant, so we tried to offer the original and traditional pizza and pasta dishes. This enabled
us to educate people's taste to the original recipes of a True Italian Pizzeria Ristorante of Italy.
We have now been going for a further 5 years as a Pizzeria Restaurant
and have successfully educated a wide span of clientele who are able to share
the local hospitality of a family-run authentic Italian restaurant, which is renowned for both good quality food and value for money.
Unfortunately, many of the restaurants chains ruin this philisophy by providing a limited choice of factory pre-prepared frozen pizza and pasta
(yes ONLY pizza and pasta) dishes in their restaurants!!
